NaNo09 - Day EightAteas and Teka exchaned a certain amount of banter along the road, the kind that old friends (which they certainly were) shared. When it started raining, however, they decided to camp early for the night. Setting up camp had a somewhat familiar feel to the pair. They'd travelled alone together before, both on missions and before Saed had taken over. They fell into familiar habits. Ateas cleared the ground, insuring they'd sleep somewhat comfortably. Teka got water from a nearby stream and prepared a small camp meal. Nothing special. Ateas set up the tents, Teka tended to the horses. "You've been slowing down," Teka said, griNaNo09 - Day Eight


NaNo09 - Day SevenBeing an assassin, spy, and scout while trying to figure out how to express your affection for your childhood friend, now liege (who happens to be trying to overthrow an empire) can be difficult at times. This was one of those times. Svet, Svetla in full, sighed and pondered (not for the first time that day and likely not the last) why she was there. A small village in the middle of the eastern segment of the Dragon's Range. The rice terraces were beautiful and wonderful, but she missed the frozen lakes and snow. She missed Prydell (the region north of the Dragon's Northern Range). Despite being rather less than content withNaNo09 - Day Seven


NaNo09 - Day SixMatad. Seraph sighed. It was the evening of the second day since they'd left Kanaue. He and Ali had travelled at a breakneck pace, him drawing on the force of the winds until he was raw and Ali holding her hands in the fire every morning until she could hardly hold any more fire inside of her. They'd made it though. Matad was a village only slightly larger than Kanaue, spread out a little more over several mountains. He'd never been there before, but Ali had, so she led the way to the main part of town. The first task on their list, before even alerting the chief of the incoming threat of the rebels, was to properly clothe tNaNo09 - Day Six
